Crafted to offer middle school girls an introduction to technology, engineering, and computing, TEC Camp inspires girls to consider college majors and careers in these important fields. The format is highly interactive and designed to address the specific interests of middle school students.
July 12-16, 2021 From 9:00am to 12:00pm
Please note that TEC Camp is for rising 7th and 8th graders (students who are currently in 6th & 7th grade for the 2020-2021 academic school year).
Students participate in a multitude of activities to explore engineering and computer science. Here are just a few highlights of what your camper will experience during her week at TEC Camp:
- Participate in hands-on projects in areas like chemical engineering, aerospace engineering, and web design.
- Work on multiple projects throughout the week, while participating from home and connecting with students from around Atlanta.
- Meet and interact with Georgia Tech professors, students, and professional women.
Participants arrive online by 9:00 a.m. daily, and the camp ends at 12:00 p.m. Online login and box pickup information will be provided once accepted.
This summer's virtual TEC Camp is $150, which includes supplies, t-shirt, and other giveaways.
TEC camp is open to rising 7th and 8th grade girls who are interested in science, math, or technology, and the participation fee is to be determined, which covers tuition, materials, and supplies. Please do not send the fee until your daughter has been accepted. The camp is limited to 20 girls, and applicants are selected based on application, essay, and school transcripts.
